SUBGROUP
In group theory, given a group G under a binary operation *, a subset H of G is called a subgroup of G if H also forms a group under the operation *. More precisely, H is a subgroup of G if the restriction of * to H x H is a group operation on H. This is usually represented notationally by H ≤ G, read as “H is a subgroup of G“.
A proper subgroup of a group G is a subgroup H which is a proper subset of G (i.e. H ≠ G). The trivial subgroup of any group is the subgroup {e} consisting of just the identity element. If H is a subgroup of G, then G is sometimes called an overgroup of H.
The same definitions apply more generally when G is an arbitrary semigroup, but this article will only deal with subgroups of groups. The group G is sometimes denoted by the ordered pair (G,*), usually to emphasize the operation * when G carries multiple algebraic or other structures.
In the following, we follow the usual convention of dropping * and writing the product a*b as simply ab.

- Keseimbangan lini perakitan & perencanaan serta scheduling produksi
GROUP (MATHEMATICS)
In mathematics, a group is an algebraic structure consisting of a set together with an operation that combines any two of its elements to form a third element. To qualify as a group, the set and the operation must satisfy a few conditions called group axioms, namely closure, associativity, identity and invertibility. Many familiar mathematical structures such as number systems obey these axioms: for example, the integers endowed with the addition operation form a group. However, the abstract formalization of the group axioms, detached as it is from the concrete nature of any particular group and its operation, allows entities with highly diverse mathematical origins in abstract algebra and beyond to be handled in a flexible way, while retaining their essential structural aspects. METODE SIMPLEX – OPERASI RISET
Di dalam masalah Optimasi yaitu masalah Maksimimasi dan Minimimasi, Kita lebih sering mendenganr itu dengan sebutan PROGRAM LINEAR . Ketika hanya memakai 2 variabel memang kita bisa menyelesaikannya dengan metode grafik yaitu pada program linear yang kita pelajari di SMA.
Nah, Bagaimana jika variabelnya lebih dari dua??
tentunya kita tidak akan bisa menggunakan metode grafik. Solusinya adalah dengan menggunakan metode simplex.
